Some guys spin articles. Some guys rewrite PLR content. Then there are guys like me who write everything, every last single article, by hand from scratch. You never have to worry about duplicate content from me unless I somehow screwed up and accidentally publish the same article twice. Writing a lot of unique articles from scratch takes a long time. That much article writing can take its toll. It can wear you down.
My outlook on article marketing is that I want my articles to stay indexed forever. That doesn’t always happen. I do my part to see that it does though. I put real effort into my writing, far more than most people. So, I want those articles to last for years and years. That way once I have written and published enough of them, each one of them manually, their combined effects start to get me the results that I am looking for. I know that once those results start coming in, they are going to keep coming for a long time. That is why I do it that way.
I could take shortcuts like so many other people do. Life experience has taught me that if you are going to do something you should do it well the first time. Build things that last. Build things that you can be proud of. That keeps you out of trouble. I have applied that principle as much to article marketing as I have to every other aspect of life.
Is that how you do your article marketing too? Or, are you one of those people who takes the shortcut wherever possible?
For my latest project I needed to write about fifty unique individual articles all related in topicality. It isn’t as bad as it sounds so long as you are writing about something that you know a lot about and something that you are actually interested in. Trying to write that much about things you don’t find interesting would definitely be a serious struggle. You would sit and stare at the screen trying to come up with topics to write about. Even once you had a topic, you would probably stare blankly at the screen waiting for some inspiring words to pop into your head. Now that would be boring.
From the perspective of an outsider, you would think that writing articles for a living would be a pretty simple way to make a living. It is not quite as simple as it looks. There is real work. It is not like we just get to write about things that are fun all the time. In many cases we have to write about things that are totally uninteresting.
