How do you increase your lottery chances while saving money?
In times like these, we all need to carefully watch our money. In spite of this, many creative thinkers are stretching their lottery dollars and increasing their chances at the same time.
Do you know what the secret is?
It's actually only one of many secrets. There is only room for one of them in this article. Be creative and stop wasting your lottery dollars on nonsense wagers. Silly wagers are wagers that have historically demonstrated they have little chance of ever being the lottery winner.
In the following example I'm going to use lottery software to analyze the 5/47 game in California.
Notice that each of these wagers have sums less than fifty-one.
2 3 4 5 9
2 7 9 14 17
4 6 9 14 16
For these wagers, the sums are greater than 204.
22 44 45 46 47
31 40 41 42 43
37 38 40 42 47
So, why do I refer to these wagers as nonsense wagers?
Two reasons:
1. The probability of such wagers ever being the lottery jackpot winner is less than 1 percent.
2. The historical record of winning numbers for all five out of forty-seven number lotteries backs this up.
Can this help you spend less?
Very simple. You spend $50 per drawing. You create fifty wagers and remove any wager whose sum is less than fifty-one or greater than 204; in this case, say 5 wagers. Therefore, your cost is $45 instead of $50.
Now, I know some of you are going to say, 'But, if the sum of the winning numbers is less than fifty-one or greater than 204, I would be wrong.' Your observation is correct. But, remember; it only takes place once every one hundred drawings! As for myself, I would prefer to save money on ninety-nine drawings.
Here's another wrinkle. You can actually use this technique to improve your chances.
This is how you do it. Instead of pocketing the 5 dollars, you buy 5 more lottery tickets that meet the sum requirements. You have now committed all of your lottery budget to wagers that have a chance.
Warning: Playing intelligently is even more important when money is tight.
