Sit or lie down somewhere where your won’t be disturbed. Allow your attention to move to your toes.
Breathe slowly and deeply into your abdomen (This means that your belly moves up and down as you breathe) and as you exhale say the following phrase:
“I relax my toes”
Breathe in… and when you are ready to exhale say:
“I relax the bottoms of my feet”
Breathe in… and when you are ready to exhale say:
“I relax the tops of my feet”
Continue this pattern for all the following phrases:
I relax the tops of my feet
I relax my ankles
I relax my calves
I relax my shins
I relax my knees
I relax my thighs
I relax my hips
I relax my thumbs
I relax my fingers
I relax my hands
I relax my lower back
I relax my stomach
I relax my fore arms
I relax the middle of my back
I relax my abdomen
I relax the backs of my arms
I relax the fronts of my arms
I relax the top of my back
I relax my chest
I relax my shoulders
I relax the back of my neck
I relax my throat
I relax the back of my head
I relax my tongue
I relax my jaw
I relax my eyes
I relax my face
I relax my fore head.
I relax the top of my head
