This was one of those bathtub moments. I was reading about the Hawthorne effect in a book and then suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks why this is so critical to include into my network marketing business. 1st allow me to tell you about the theory and exactly how it directly applies to your business opportunity.

It is known as the Hawthrone Effect: It says . . .

"There is an improvement in worker productivity created by the psychological stimulus of being singled out and made to feel significant."

Put simply, what is tracked improves, but what is monitored and reported back improves exponentially faster. I've applied this principle all through my online career just by monitoring my success and at every stage possible relying it back to my downline. They take notice, see the statistics plain as day and embark to do it on their own.

How come? Because I have demonstrated what I'm reporting to them performs in hard numbers and when I report it back again it brings focus to the data at hand and they set out to emulate the results. And they do. The next application in a multilevel marketing atmosphere, which is more difficult to achieve, but enormously more powerful is this. . .

As you are coaching your brand new downline members have them report back their statistics to you. This accomplishes 2 ends.

1. It helps make your brand new team member focus on the direct results of their actions and in reporting it back to you you have the opportunity to focus on these outcomes too.

2. It places substantial psychological value on the information at hand and sets both of you off in a direction to increase the original outcomes.

This principle is extremely powerful and is not to be disregarded. But let's bring the idea home with an example.

If you're a night time Tv viewer you will know what I'm talking about. A while back on the Conan O'Brian show the host made the mistake of saying a fictitious website name . . . HornyManatee.com without understanding the ramifications, which were, that for any non-existent website stated on that particular network policy says that the company must take possession of the domain.

Conan described this affair back to his audience in the next episode and shared with them that the network was currently the proud owner of HornyManatee.com. Then the following night he did it once more and more than 4.5 million people had been to the site.

That is the power the Hawthorne Effect.

Needless to say you are not going to get 4.5 million people to your web site using and applying the Hawthorne effect in your network marketing business, but you may get substantial measurable increases in your results comparable to our illustration.
