Rose Garden:

The Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is Asia's largest Rose Garden spread over 30 acres of land and housing over 1600 different species and families of roses. These have been planted in the form beautifully carved out lawns and flowers beds. Started by a horticulturist with a fondness for flowers, it is a standing testimony to the care and passion that went into making the garden. Sukhna Lake

Snugly fit in the foothills of the Shivalik range, Sukhna Lake is a manmade lake. That in itself is it's suingular unique quality, a completely man made lake. Stretching for 3 kms in length, it was conceieved and created in the year 1958. This was accomplished by damming the Sukhna Choe, which is a seasonal stream flowing down from the Shivalik hills. Since then, Sukhna Lakhe has become an integral part of the city Chandigarh. This is a scenic spot that people spend time to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the cool breeze and beauty of the lake and admire nature in it's beauty. Fun water sport activities like boating, yachting and water skiing etc are important activities. A rejuvanation spot that is often enjoyed by many people.

Chhatbir Zoo

If there's one animal that you would want to see, it is the Royal Bengal White Tiger. A thrill sets down upon your spine when you take pictures standing really close to the Tiger. It has now developed into a zoological park of prominence. Visitors are taken to the tiger's sanctuaries in the caged motor vehicle while the animals roams freely in their reserved areas. There are also a large species of birds. Mondays are a holiday at this place though, so you would have to make sure you plan to visit it besides a national holiday and the mondays.
