The words we throw, often, speak our minds. Many people however, in the quest to thrust their superiority in the social world with their words, fail to realize the importance of silence. An ability to communicate good, needs not alone a clear speech but also a sincere listening. But, the notion that most people carry is, 'the more you talk, the smarter you are'.

Man is a social animal, who tends to grow with the world around. People talk, share, and discuss with each other, to keep themselves connected with the social world. The communication skills that a human possesses plays a crucial role in such social gatherings. People tend to judge an individual on certain aspects like clothes, looks, and most importantly his ability to communicate with others. But what most of us happen to forget, is that communication is much more than putting out your views alone.

Words, in excess, can kill the true content of the message. Silence however, always speaks a bit louder than words. Although, it is difficult to digest this, the point is, in a communication your silence not only gives you a deeper knowledge of the subject but also makes your words more valuable and heavy. The fact that people love to talk, also goes on to magnify the fact that people love good listeners.

People often start blabbering about anything and everything that they can, to desperately engrain others. But it is important to realize that with silence comes a greater sense of knowledge, respect, curiosity, and demand for your words. A man, who realizes the importance of silence, often learns how lame and judgemental people can get. Such an individual, often climbs the stairs in the professional life, faster than someone who has always tried to promote his own views.

Silence is also critical in stressful situations. People tend to freak out in serious times and often end up yelling seriously stupid, mean, and harsh words. This in turn underlines the belief that many great philosophers tried to spread, 'With silence comes peace, with peace comes freedom and with freedom comes silence'.
